MASTERING
The term “mastering” is often misunderstood and misrepresented. Although it does include putting that final polished, commercial CD sound to an individual track, it can also mean putting a collection of tracks together in a way that sounds coherent and flows like a great live concert would. This includes not just the sound of the tracks but their related levels, their order and the length of the gaps between tracks.
We can and are happy to both “master” individual tracks but we are also happy to help turn your collection of songs into a finished album or EP.

UPGRADE’s “ROMARE BEARDEN of SOUND” is an urban instrumental album inspired by works of African-American Harlem Renaissance collage artist Romare Bearden and heavily influenced by legendary producers J. Dilla, DJ Premiere and Kanye West . The “ROMARE BEARDEN of SOUND” by UPGRADE is his third instrumental album release on the TKRP label following “HYPNO.THERAPEUTIC.MUSIC” (2009) and “LIFE THROUGH MUSIC” (2007). His last instrumental album “Hypno.Therapeutic.Music” was recognized by the Recording Academy for Grammy Award Nomination consideration and placed in the category for BEST ELECTRONIC/DANCE ALBUM in 2010. Check out the "GLOW" music video for Dead Prez DJ, MikeFlo - produced and directed by Tai "Upgrade" Rotan. Filmed by Leon Dale, LDP Studios, Jonathan Cooke and Triple M Media. This video features an intro stamp of approval from world famous DJ Drama.

The instrumental for the MikeFlo "GLOW" video came from Upgrade's Romare Bearden of Sound album and is track # 21 entitled "High". Check out the video on YouTube and click "Like".
